Onward is a 2002 Tartan 4100. At 41 feet long, 13.5' wide, Onward very well equipped for us to live on her for long periods of time. Onward carries:
- 135 gallons of fresh water with a 10 gallon hot water heater
- 90 gallons of diesel fuel
- 56HP disel Yanmar engine (for when the wind dies)
- Fischer Panda diesel generator (if we need to run air conditioning or heat)
- 300 W of solar power - which runs our refrigerator/freezer, lights, etc.
- Mainsail, genoa, storm staysail, asymetrical spinnaker
- Flatscreen TV and sound system
- Radar and multiple chart plotters
- AIS - automatic information system - which means we can be tracked anywhere in the world
- 6-person life raft
- Dinghy with primary and backup outboard engines
- Full cockput enclosure - to keep us warm and dry when underway
